A new collection has been unveiled by Nike, which is intended to capture the spirit of runners in the 1970s.
The sportswear company claims that its spring 2012 Sportswear Track & Field Collection "reflects our roots and results".
It harks back to Athletics West and Prefontaine, with super-soft cotton garments featuring vintage washes and each item reflecting a track record of the past.
Earlier this month, Nike launched a new limited-edition line of footwear created to mark the 36th anniversary of Black History Month.
The collection, which goes on sale from February 11th, includes pieces from Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear, in addition to items of apparel such as a Nike Destroyer jacket, snapback hat and t-shirt.
Designs have been inspired by the 2008 Kenyan long-distance running team, the 2002 Brazilian men's soccer squad and the 1996 USA women's basketball team, with each item featuring distinct colours and a signature graphic print.
