Alex Pescott

Founder & CEO of Fusion Associates, an International Executive Search firm specialising in consumer markets including premium consumer goods, sporting goods, outdoor sports, mobility/cycling, healthy living, fitness, fashion and luxury.

Alex began his recruitment career in 1993 with one of Europe’s leading retail recruitment firms before founding Fusion Associates in 1998 with a vision to build a more consultative, internationally focused executive search business.

Over the past two decades, he has led Fusion through significant growth and international expansion, establishing offices in Stockholm, Berlin and Milan while developing long-standing relationships across Europe, the USA and Asia. This global network has played a key role in supporting leadership searches within the fashion, sporting goods, outdoor and premium consumer sectors.

Alex’s personal passion for outdoor pursuits, including trekking, camping and backpacking, has naturally aligned with the growth of Fusion’s outdoor and sportswear client portfolio, helping shape the firm’s strong reputation within these industries.

About me

Growing up in rural Spain I spent much of my childhood playing outside and exploring the local countryside. We lived near beautiful mountains and together with my father we visited them often.  In my twenties my passion for the mountains continued and my first overseas adventure took me trekking to Nepal and the Himalayas and I was hooked.  The following year I quit my job working for a London newspaper and spent six months back packing around South America polishing my Spanish.  Much of my time was spent in the mountains including the Andes in Ecuador and Peru. 

Since then many of my holidays have been spent in or close to the mountains including Patagonia, the Rockies, the Alps, and the Pyrenees.  My last big hike (a month before my daughter was born) was 7 days traversing Glacier National Park, Montana in the middle of July with a 30kg back pack, perhaps the hardest hike I’ve ever done !

Needless to say protecting our Planet is close to my heart and since the arrival of my daughter i’ve become more compelled than ever to do my part in protecting it.
